Discrimination & Violence

Many LGBT people face discrimination and violence because of their sexual orientation and gender identity. A patchwork of non-discrimination laws, hate crimes laws, and other policies leave LGBT people without adequate protection from these experiences in most states. We study the prevalence and contours of discrimination and violence against LGBT people as well as policies and interventions that protect them.
