Shoshana K. Goldberg Ph.D., M.P.H, is a Research Consultant with the Williams Institute. Her research uses federal, state, and local data to assess the size, location, and demographic characteristics of the LGBT population, as well as to explore the impact of existing and emerging policies on LGBT health and well-being. In addition, she is the analyst on the Institute’s HIV criminalization project, where she uses state-level criminal records data to assess how existing HIV criminalization laws have been applied. She is also a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Maternal and Child Health at University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill Gillings School of Global Public Health, where she received both her M.P.H and doctorate, as well as an independent consultant for several other public health/research organizations.
