Jordan Grasso is a Research Data Analyst at the Williams Institute. Their research interests encompass criminalization, state power, policing, and alternative forms of safety, particularly concerning LGBTQ communities. Jordan is skilled in both qualitative and quantitative research methods, with experience as an interviewer, ethnographer, and data analyst. Before joining the Williams Institute, they earned an M.A. in Sociological Practice and a B.A. in Criminology and Justice Studies from California State University San Marcos. Jordan is currently completing their Ph.D. in Criminology, Law, and Society with emphases in Feminist Studies and Law, Society, and Culture at the University of California, Irvine.
