Data Collection

Effective public policy requires good data. Many government and private surveys do not collect data on sexual orientation and gender identity, leaving gaps in our knowledge about LGBT populations. We aim to fill these gaps by developing best practices for measuring sexual orientation and gender identity, and we work with governments and private researchers to expand and improve available data.
