Dukeminier Awards Journal
The Dukeminier Awards acknowledge the best law review articles concerning sexual orientation and gender identity each year. Recipients of the Dukeminier Award will have their articles republished in the Dukeminier Awards Journal.
The Journal provides recognition and support for scholars and students who write in the area of sexual orientation and gender identity law. It also supplies lawyers, judges, and policymakers with access to the year’s best scholarly materials on the subject.
The Journal is named in memory of Jesse J. Dukeminier (1925–2003), a member of the UCLA School of Law faculty for 40 years.

- originally published in a law journal (essays are eligible)
- published in the prior academic year
If you would like to nominate an article for consideration, please email a copy of the article and the citation (article title, journal name, volume, page number, and year) to daj@lawnet.ucla.edu.
