Social Change and Relationship Quality Among Sexual Minority Individuals

Does minority stress still matter?

Experiences of stigma have shown consistent negative effects—theorized as minority stress—on the relationship quality of sexual minority individuals. Using data from the Generations study, this report examines whether the improved social climate has the same deleterious effects on the romantic relationships of sexual minority emerging adults.
