A new report from the U.S. National Longitudinal Lesbian Family Study examines the relationships between adult donor-inseminated offspring of lesbian parents and their donor siblings. It appeared in Human Reproduction in October 2023.
Highlights
This is the first study to look at the relationship of adult donor-inseminated offspring from lesbian parents and their sperm donors.
All offspring felt neutral about the importance of knowing if they had donor siblings.
A majority of offspring had found their donor siblings and maintained good ongoing relationships.
