Communicable Disease and the Courts: What You Need to Know

COVID-19 has created significant changes in virtually all aspects of the judicial system. It has also revealed significant gaps in how infectious diseases affect diverse populations, and how access to scientific knowledge on routes of transmission, medical risks, and health impacts impact courts and cases.

This course will enhance your ability to review and accept pleas, issue orders, determine appropriate sentences, and make other determinations in cases involving infectious diseases and potential threats to individual and public health.
