Rob Wright (Emeritus)

Rob Wright was born and raised in Denver. He graduated from the School of Economics at the University of Colorado in Boulder while volunteering his weekends on the National Ski Patrol in Vail. He joined the microfilm division of 3M Co, transferred to Los Angeles and then became a partner at Irwin, Wright & Wallen Advertising. Rob’s husband, John MacDonald, is also a member of the Williams Institute Founders Council, and together, they endowed the first Chair of Law at the Institute. They are also active in supporting the LA LGBT Center, giving the lead gift for the Center to purchase its own building in 1995. They also gifted a building to the LGBT Center of the Desert in Palm Springs for their offices. They live half the year in Beaver Creek, Colorado and the other half in Palm Springs, California.
