Dan Clivner is the managing partner of Sidley Austin’s greater Los Angeles offices and a member of the executive committee. Before joining Sidley, he was the managing partner of an international law firm in Los Angeles. In 1996, he moved from New York to Los Angeles to advise the Seagram Company and NBC Universal (now Universal Studios) on a variety of transactions involving television, theme parks, motion pictures, and music acquisitions, dispositions, and financing. Dan has been recognized by the Los Angeles Business Journal in its “Leaders of Influence: Private Equity Investors & Advisors” list, and he was also named a 2019 “Rainmaker” by the Minority Corporate Counsel Association, which recognizes diverse lawyers for their business acumen, dedication, and proactive client development.
