UniTy was created to support the health, well-being, and rights of the transgender community. The event helps raise money for research that policymakers can use to allocate resources and enact laws that impact transgender communities.
This year, UniTy will raise money for a groundbreaking survey on transgender people in Los Angeles County that will provide information about their health, housing, economic, and employment status and experiences of discrimination and harassment, resilience, and well-being.
