The Impact Of The Los Angeles Fires on LGBTQ Communities: Ensuring An Inclusive Recovery

The Williams Institute is conducting research aimed at enhancing services for LGBTQ individuals affected by the Los Angeles fires. On May 7, we will host a town hall listening session for LGBTQ community members directly affected by the fires.

If you live or have lived in an area that was directly impacted, please join us online or in person at the Altadena Main Library. We would like to hear about your experiences, needs, and recommendations.

Participation is voluntary. There are no direct benefits to you for participating in the listening session, but we will provide the results to Los Angeles County to improve ongoing recovery efforts. We will also use the results to inform a report about how future recovery efforts in response to wildfires and other disasters can be inclusive and responsive to the needs of LGBTQ+ adults.

Dinner will be provided for in-person attendees, and the first 100 to arrive will receive a complimentary air purifier.

We will publish results later in 2025 and make a downloadable report available online.

RSVP to attend in person or online.
