Laurie Hasencamp is a 1985 graduate of USC Law School and a 1980 graduate of Pomona College. Following law school, she clerked for the Honorable Warren J. Ferguson, U.S. Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. She then practiced bankruptcy law with Latham & Watkins and Irell & Manella before becoming a Legal Research Director at LRN. Now retired, Laurie spends most of her time on community service. In addition to being involved with the Williams Institute, she is a member of the National Leadership Council of GLSEN, the Advisory Committee for the Alliance of Housing and Healing, the USC Law School Board of Councilors, and serves on the Equality California Board of Directors. She has received many awards for her volunteer work. She is married to Mike Lurey, a retired bankruptcy partner at Latham & Watkins, a member of the Williams Institute Legal Council, and a former President of the Board of Kehillat Israel.
