Yossi Held, Director of Development
Most recently, Yossi served as Director of Development at Center on Halsted, the Midwest’s most comprehensive community center dedicated to advancing community and securing the health and well-being of the Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender and Queer people of Chicagoland. Prior to his work at Center on Halsted, Yossi led development efforts at BBYO as Area Director of Community Engagement and Major Gift Officer, Midwest. Prior to joining BBYO, Yossi worked for the American Israel Public Affairs Committee as the Michigan Area Director overseeing AIPAC’s second largest fundraising campaign in the Midwest.
Yossi’s nonprofit career began at the Jewish United Fund of Metropolitan Chicago. As part of an interdisciplinary team of fundraisers, attorneys, and marketing executives, Yossi contributed to the Legacies and Endowment department where he worked on donor cultivation and stewardship for JUF’s Donor-Advised Fund program as well as the annual campaign.
A native Chicagoan, Yossi graduated from the University of Illinois Chicago with a B.A. in Psychology. Additionally, he holds a Master’s Degree in Nonprofit Management from Spertus College.
