Taylor N.T. Brown, Policy Analyst
Taylor N.T. Brown is a policy analyst at the Williams Institute. He works alongside a team of Institute scholars in the production and presentation of social science and public policy analyses of issues of sexual orientation and gender identity.
Much of Taylor’s past research has focused on human rights issues abroad. Prior to his work at the Williams Institute, he interned with the U.S. Department of State’s Bureau of Near Eastern Affairs and later worked with the Department’s LGBT Taskforce to develop an analysis of the decriminalization of same-sex relations in the Middle East. He has also conducted research on an array of domestic policies while interning at the Miller Center of Public Affairs and the Tallahassee City Commission.
Taylor received both his Masters of Public Policy and B.A. in Foreign Affairs from the University of Virginia. During his studies, he volunteered with UVA’s LGBTQ Center and worked on numerous political campaigns, including through his leadership of UVA’s University Democrats.
