Ciarán McFadden, Visiting Graduate Researcher
Ciarán McFadden is a final year PhD candidate in the School of Business at Maynooth University, Ireland, where his PhD is based in the Human Resource Management/Organizational Behavior domains. His doctoral dissertation, “Lesbian, Gay, and Bisexual Identity and Relation in the Irish Workplace,” explores the identity management of Irish LGB workers and how the HR function can alleviate any challenges they have.
For his Fulbright scholarship, Ciarán is conducting research for six months on the workplace and career experiences of the trans* community, particularly focusing on the job search/application process. He hopes to be conducting interviews as well as a résumé experiment. Ciarán is working with Douglas NeJaime, faculty director of the Williams Institute and professor of law at UCLA School of Law.
