2014 Gay and Lesbian Medical Association Achievement Awards
Williams Institute Founders Council Member and Visiting Distinguished Scholar Nanette Gartrell is the recipient of a 2014 GLMA Achievement Award for her dedication to research addressing LGBT health. Gartrell is the lead investigator of the longitudinal study on the development of children of lesbian mothers.
GLMA’s Achievement Awards recognize outstanding contributions to the LGBT community for exemplary commitment to improving the quality of health services for LGBT people, improving the environment for LGBT healthcare workers or for contributing significantly to gains made by the LGBT civil rights movement. The award was presented at GLMA’s 32nd Annual Conference and Gala on September 12, 2014, at the National Aquarium in Baltimore.
