Children with LGBT Parents: Findings from 40 Years of Research
Featuring Professor Susan Golombok, Director, Centre for Family Research, University of Cambridge
Visiting the Williams Institute in May 2019, Professor Golombok will present her pioneering research on parenting and child development in LGBT families. Contextualized by the issues and concerns that have been raised regarding these families from the 1970s to the present day, Professor Golombok will argue that the quality of family relationships and wider social environment are more influential in children’s psychological development than are the gender, sexual orientation or biological relatedness of their parents.
