Goals of the workshop:

* To create an opportunity for researchers working on the topic of “Discrimination based on Sexual Orientation” to meet and work together in order to stimulate future joint research.

* Put a spotlight on the importance of studying discrimination based on sexual orientation and to discuss the current research on the economics of sexual orientation.

* Provide a forum for researchers to gain a better understanding of the challenges and priorities on this subject.

● Available methods to identify the populations of gays and lesbians
● Databases
● Econometric/statistic methods and problems
● Evaluations of wage discrimination or job discrimination
● Comparison of the results associated to different countries
● New developments on gay and lesbian economics
● Legal and policy issues
