March 3 – Discriminatory Permissions and Structural Injustice
Please join us for a lunchtime talk with Professor Lawrence Sager, Distinguished Scholar in Residence, UCLA Law and Philosophy Program & Visiting Professor. This is the first of a two-part lunchtime series, co-sponsored with the UCLA Law and Philosophy Program.
In the first lecture, Professor Sager will develop a “discriminatory permissions doctrine” and argue that laws that give permission to individuals to act on religious beliefs that are antithetical to the equal treatment of members of the LGBT community are invalid on Equal Protection grounds.
