Windsor and Perry: Reactions of Siblings in Same-Sex and Heterosexual Couples

This study evaluated the impact of two landmark U.S. Supreme Court cases, Windsor v. U.S. and Perry v. Hollingsworth, on the lives of same-sex couples and their families. The study was based on a survey of that measured the reactions of same-sex couples and their siblings to the decisions.

Responses from same-sex couples reflected a direct, emotional, practical, and immediate impact of the decisions.
Responses from siblings reflected an impact by association, but not practical or immediate impacts on their lives.
